Country turns to Belarus, China and Mongolia as potato prices rise by 173%

POTATOES have become scarce in Russia, with prices rising by 173%, according to the Center for Countering Disinformation.

As a result of the shortage, the Russian Federation has purchased potatoes in Belarus and China and is now turning to Mongolia for its supply.

The CCD claims the shortage has been caused by sanctions, inflation and a reduction in cultivated areas.
