POTATOES have emerged as a dominant commodity according to information supplied by EastFruit Trade Platform, the international information and analytical platform focused on the fruit and vegetable business in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Caucasus.
The organisation states that potatoes have overtaken white cabbage, with active trading across seven nations. This included significant contributions from Ukraine and Egypt, as well as last season’s supply from the Netherlands and Belgium.
