FORTHCOMING WEBINAR DETAILS WORK TO RESEARCH POTATO PEST

A RECENT webinar shared the results of a trial from the Wireworm and IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Field Lab.

This trial explored the potential of cover crops and biofumigant crops to help control wireworm populations in potatoes. The group investigated how the chemical properties of mustards and buckwheat in rotations could be used to deter pests.

The webinar took place on Thursday, March 20th with presentations from wireworm experts Martyn Cox and Dr Ben Clunie, along with agronomist Richard Griffith who oversaw the trial on T.C. & N. Taylor Ltd Organic Farm at Shrewsbury in Shropshire.

Full details will be included in the May issue of British Potato Review.
