SUPPLIERS OF PROCESSED POTATO PRODUCTS JOIN NEW MULTI-SECTOR COLLABORATION

MCCAIN and McDonalds, who supply a number of potato-based processed products and work with grower-partners in the UK, have joined forces with Lloyds Banking Group, Waitrose, NatWest, Barclays and Lloyd’s of London to demonstrate the importance of cross-sector collaboration in driving forward regenerative growing.

The companies will provide growers with financial, technical and peer-to-peer support, in a pilot project which was launched on Monday. The collaboration follows the publication of Sustainable Markets Initiative (SMI) research which found that economic risk and a fragmented support system often deter farmers from making the transition.

The pilot project will take place in the East of England throughout 2025 and aims to create a replicable model for accelerating regenerative farming worldwide.
