CHIP brand Lamb Weston has been named Product of the Year 2026 in the chips category.

The award recognised the full Lamb Weston Fries range, which launched nationwide in 2024 and has quickly made an impact with shoppers seeking restaurant-quality chips at home, having been used in UK professional kitchens for more than 30 years

The Product of the Year Awards represent the UK’s largest consumer-driven survey of product innovation, with more than 8,000 shoppers voting annually to identify standout products across multiple categories. Winners earn the prestigious red Product of the Year seal, a trusted mark that signals innovation, quality, and consumer endorsement.

Lamb Weston’s winning range offers several standout products that voters felt highlighted the brand’s commitment to flavour, texture, and distinctive shape innovation. Awarded products include the all-new Frenzy French Fries,hero product seasoned Twister Fries, seasoned Ziggy Fries, seasoned Waffle Fries, and Thick CutPub Chips.

As a new brand in the retail frozen category, Lamb Weston has carved out a reputation for pioneering new chip shapes and elevating consumer expectations. The brand was the first to patent the curly fry cutting technique, creating the original Twister Fry in 1983.

Lamb Weston also recently launched the triangular-cut Frenzy French Fries. Featuring a unique three-sided cut, a crispy skin-on exterior and a light, fluffy potato interior, Frenzy French Fries are designed for modern cooking methods, including air fryers and ovens.
