GROWERS in the East of England are being invited to an hear about the options available to increase resilience and protect their water rights.
Growers have already seen abstraction licence cuts and many more are expecting reductions between 40% and 60% and up to 90% in some catchments as planned abstraction reforms are implemented to meet future environmental destination targets.
An information event, entitled Planning for abstraction reform: Are you ready to protect your water rights? is being organised by the UK Irrigation Association and will take place at Orton Hall Hotel, Peterborough, on March 6th.
Anyone wishing to attend can find more details here.
