
GROWERS are being invited to attend the final public session which will conclude the PCN Action Scotland project.
The event will be hosted at the James Hutton Institute, Invergowrie on March 18th between 10am and 3pm (Lunch included and will spotlight key findings, with posters and presentations from each work package on:
Highlights of the day will feature analysis of the multi-year field trials data on resistant potato varieties, alongside use of oil radish as an impactful cover crop against PCN.
There will also be an opportunity to see the new decision support system, the PCN Scenario Planner in action to demonstrate its use when planning future rotations in PCN-infested land.
This will also be the first presentation of recommendations for changes to current PCN policy aimed at strengthening Scotland’s ability to manage PCN in the future.
