AUTO-PAYMENTS FOR POTATO GROWERS

UK currency

NO NEED TO APPLY FOR DELINKED PAYMENTS WHERE BASIC PAYMENTS PREVIOUSLY CLAIMED.

UK POTATO growers need not apply to receive delinked payments, which will be issued automatically by the Rural Payments Agency (RPA) between 2024 and 2027 if they claimed Basic Payment in the years 2020-2023 inclusive.

The RPA plans to make payments to eligible customers in two instalments each year – an advance payment of around 50% from the 1st of August, with the balance payment from September 1st.

The second instalment, originally scheduled to be paid out from December 1st, will now be made from September to help growers with their cashflow, following the impact of wet weather.
