SCOTTISH Agronomy, which has worked with members of the entire potato supply chain over a number of years to improve production efficiency and sustainability, has become the eighth coop to be added to the board of assurance scheme Scottish Quality Crops (SQC).
Scottish Agronomy, an independent agronomy cooperative owned by farmers, will be represented by Managing Director Adam Christie.
Managing Director of SQC, Teresa Dougall, said: “We will gain from Adam’s extensive experience in crop innovation and management, further enhancing the expertise and technical knowledge that is critical to our board and setting of standards.”
SQC has also added new representatives for the Scotch Whisky Association (SWA), National Farmers’ Union (NFU) Scotland and Scotland’s Rural College, SRUC.
