IPM Potato Group still operating under existing name and identity following acquisition by Royal HZPC Group.

BREEDING and seed company Royal HZPC Group has now finalised its acquisition of IPM Potato Group.

An official announcement in October stated that IPM was to become part of the HZPC Group and the move is now complete.

Established in Dublin in 1950 as Irish Potato Marketing, IPM Potato Group has developed into a market leader in seed potato breeding, production, and export. The company is also the largest exporter of protected and exclusive varieties in the UK. Through its grower network in Ireland, Scotland, France, the Netherlands, and England, IPM supplies seed potatoes to approximately 40 countries, with a strong focus on Mediterranean markets.

It has collaborated for more than 50 years with Teagasc, Ireland national institute for research, advisory, and education in the agri-food sector. This partnership has supported the development of resilient, high-quality potato varieties.

The group will continue operating under its existing name and identity.
