VISITORS WELCOMED AT OPEN DAY TO CELEBRATION ACHIEVEMENT WITHIN UK POTATO INDUSTRY

FAMILY business, Scotts Precision Manufacturing Ltd, which specialises in potato field machinery, opened its doors to customers, suppliers and more yesterday (Wednesday, December 11th), inviting them to join its 30-year anniversary celebration.

The company, owned and managed by Derek and Sonia Scott, invited visitors to tour the factory and workshop, take part in some fun challenges such as a darts competition and miniature airplane-making, and tuck into refreshments including a hog roast, to mark the event.

As Derek’s father formerly ran a farm in the same area, photos showing the company’s evolution and growth were displayed, while Trinity Scott, Derek and Sonia’s daughter and one of the latest family members to join its ranks, gave a detailed tour and explanation about each of the machines and parts manufactured there.

Based 10 miles north of Boston, the company’s range includes the Evolution separators, Terra-Siv de-soiler, Microlift Pro harvesters, Trinity haulm toppers and windrower conversion kit.
