TECHNICAL ISSUES IN THE SPOTLIGHT FOR PROCESSED POTATO PRODUCT SUPPLIERS

BFFF TECHNIAL CONFERENCE WILL EXAMINE KEY ISSUES ON FROZEN PRODUCT SAFETY, PACKAGING, WASTE IMPACTS AND MORE.

THOSE manufacturing and supplying frozen and chilled potato products and crisps may be interested in attending this year’s British Frozen Food Federation (BFFF) Technical Conference, which will feature a number of talks and networking opportunities.

The event will be held at a new venue this year, the YMCA Village, Newark on Trent, on Tuesday, September 24th and is open to all.

Key speakers will include Dr Jeff Banks, a world-renowned food quality and safety professional and Prof Simon Pearson, the Founding Director of the Lincoln Institute of Agri-Food Technology (LIAT) at the University of Lincoln.

Allergens, nutrition, and packaging solutions are also on the agenda with talks from Simon Williams, Chief Executive of Anaphylaxis UK, Heather Dolan, Nutrition Manager at Bidfood and Andrew Chinnery from Excelerate Ltd.

Helen White, Associate Director of Tetra Tech will talk about how the British frozen food industry may help to prevent household food waste and further speakers are also expected.
