KENYAN POTATO COUNCIL HOST NEXT FIELD DAY FOR GROWERS

POTATO BREEDING COMPANIES WILL SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE ALONGSIDE FERTILISER PRODUCERS AND PESTICIDE/HERBICIDE MANUFACTURERS

THE Nyandarua County Farmers Field Day, hosted by the National Potato Council of Kenya, a non-governmental organization (NGO) which helps to organise and co-ordinate potato value chain activities in the country, will hold the first of a series of open days this week where growers can discover new farming techniques, network with experts, and explore innovations.

It will take place on August 2nd at Kalro Ol Joro Orok,

The event is one of a series of open days recently announced, where innovations and information on potato growing will be exhibited. The open days are taking place in Bungoma, Elgeyo Marakwet, Narok, Nakuru, Meru, Uasin Gishu, Nyandarua, and Nyeri Counties.

Those exhibiting include breeders, pesticide and herbicide manufacturers, fertiliser manufacturers and growers’ associations.
