A field event to remember

As Storm Floris wreaked havoc on trees, travel and everything in between, visitors and exhibitors at Scotland’s premier potato field event were undeterred …

POTATOES In Practice, the UK field event for all those in the potato industry, provided a wonderful opportunity to meet with people from all sectors of the industry last Thursday.

Held at Balruddery Farm just outside Dundee, Scotland, the event featured a number of trial plots in the centre of the field, with exhibitors’ stands surrounding the periphery and drone displays in a neighbouring field.

Despite many facing challenges in travelling as a result of Storm Floris, they persevered and exhibitors were also undeterred as they tackled the winds to put up stands and welcome the steady stream of visitors.

British Potato Review Editor Stephanie Cornwall and Sales Manager Victoria Lyddington took the opportunity to chat to all the exhibitors and enjoy the ambience – you can read a full report in the September issue of British Potato Review.
