A soil knowledge trail with people gathered round

BRITISH POTATO GROWERS CAN SEE PLOUGHS, CULTIVATORS AND DRILLS IN ACTION

LIVE DEMONSTRATIONS of soil preparation and crop establishment by tackling with ploughs, cultivators, conventional, strip tillage and direct drills, are taking place in Yorkshire this week.

In the live demonstration area, there will be an opportunity to see machinery working and the chance for manufacturers to show off their machinery in different cover crops. There will also be a Knowledge trail looking at soil health, cover crops, compaction reduction, overheads and benchmarking, drainage and professional crop protection practice.

Participants include Kings Crops, the NAAC, Bridgestone, the AHDB, CW Sprayers and Agrovista.

Attendance is worth BASIS and NRoSO points .

The event, Tillage-Live, will take place at Headley Hall in Tadcaster, North Yorkshire, on Wednesday from 8am.
